During the Cheese and Wine Tour you are going to enjoy tastes and smells of the products that the territory of Dolianova are able to offer since the 1900.
Discover how we produce CASU (cheese) and BINU (wine) and prepare your senses to taste different types of cheese and wine.
First of all, you are going to visit the Argiolas cheese factory, inside which you will see all the aspects of cheese making.
You will discover how the cheese was produced by our ancestors and how we produce it to the present day. That basically, it’s in the same exact way but with more technology.
After that, you will a chance to break the curd and start the production of a new cheese shape.
The visit will end with a tasting of some cheeses produced by Argiolas cheese factory.
There will be, also, a chance to work the cheese. You are going to break the curd in order to start the production of a new cheese.
Left the cheese factory, we will move to an equipped area, within an artistic park, to have lunch.
The second stage will include a visit to the Dolianova cellar. Here you will see all the various stages of wine production, from the mechanical crushing to the conservation in barrels, and see what makes the Italian wine, one of the best in the world.
At the end of the visit you will have the opportunity to taste different types of wine with the company of a sommelier who will show you how to taste wine and what you should know about the wine you are tasting.
